I'm sooo excited to be part of the Indie-Credible Authors Tour and I'm super-duper excited to be highlighting one of my favorite authors, Jill Cooper!
The tour began on September 1st and numerous bloggers have been working with authors to come up with ways to show you just how AWESOME these authors are. Be sure to take a look at the tour schedule listed at the end of this post and visit some other blogs and possibly find even more books to add to the never ending TBR list!
Oh, and don't forget there's an amazing giveaway going on too!
Now on to the Incredible Jill Cooper!!!
15
Minutes by Jill Cooper was released on June 15, 2013. This is a Young Adult novel that's a scifi thriller and focuses on time travel. Not only are her books really unique, her covers are completely eye catching and unforgettable!
I have 15 minutes to save my mother’s life….
15 minutes is all the Rewind Agency gives you in the past, but for Lara Crane it’s enough time to race through the city, find her mother, and stop her from being killed in a mugging that happened over ten years ago.
But that’s not how it happened. The story she’s been told all her life is a lie and when Lara takes a bullet meant for her mother, her future changes forever.
The love of her life acts like a stranger. Her simple life is replaced with a giant house, glamorous clothes and a new boyfriend.
Except someone knows her secret. And he will try to stop her at every turn as she races against the clock to unravel a dangerous conspiracy.
15 Minutes is an edgy high octane YA thriller that can be described as Back to the Future meets Inception where the people Lara trusts change in an instant. She is in a timeline she doesn't understand, and is about to make one fatal mistake as she faces an enemy so familiar, he’s family.
I follow the Rewind Agency Interviewer through a hallway and into a
small cubicle. She smiles at me kindly and I follow suit. I try not to act
nervous, bite my fingers, or play with my hair. I need them to believe
everything I’m about to say.
They can’t know everything I’m going to say is a lie. A lie so they’ll
let me go back in time again so I can see my mom. So I can save her.
Everything I want to do breaks the law and I just don’t care.
Interviewer: Thanks for coming
today, can you state for the record your name and why you want to go back to
this date in time?
Lara Crane. I want to go back to see my Mom.
Interviewer: You’ve gone back twice now to see your mom. She must be
very important to you. Can you tell me a little about that?
Well, sure. I guess. My Mom died when I was only five. She was mugged
and something went wrong. I have pictures, but few real memories of her. All I can remember really is being
confused, sad and seeing my dad cry for
the first time.
Interviewer: And you live with just your dad? Did he ever remarry?
No, it’s just us and our dog, Sparky. I guess our lives aren’t what
they would be if Mom was still alive. Dad works two, sometime three shifts to
make ends meet. Sometimes I barely see him. But I make due on Kraft dinner and
hanging out with my friends. Rick. We’re latchkey kids together. Even live in
the same building.
Interview: Rick? Can you elaborate on that?
He’s my boyfriend. I’ve known him forever and can’t imagine life
without him.
Interviewer: You light up when you talk about him. That’s nice. Sweet.
He’s everything.
Interviewer: All right. Everything seems to be in order. You’ve been
through this a few times, but I must warn you, Ms. Crane, when you travel back,
not to try to interact with the past. There is a stiff penalty and possible
jail time from trying to change the past. Not even a verbal warning to your
mother. Besides, she wouldn’t be able to see you anyway.
I understand. I wouldn’t do that anyway. I just want to see her again. See what she’s
like.
Interviewer: The you can head off to waiting room two for further
instructions. And Ms. Crane, we will be watching you.

About
the Author
I could write this in the third person. I
could tell you what I like, where I was born, and what my favorite things are.
But instead, I'll say I don't want to write like everyone else. I don't want to craft stories you've read a thousand times before. I want my novels to be a cinematic experience, blending themes, genres, and situations unlike any you've ever read.
I want to break the rules. I want you to break out in a cold sweat as you read my books out of fear, love, and excitement. I want my books to be an experience. When you finish, I want you to feel something. Good or bad.

If you do, then I'll have succeeded. If not, I'll keep trying.
