Awakening Colors will take you on a magical adventure!
Read this fascinating story that weaves together current times with ancient mythologies. Set in modern day Toronto, this book is an exciting story of adventures that evolve across material worlds into illusions and beyond.
Using his powers to reach into the world of illusions, Arche Lasarre is able to change destinies.  The power of his manipulations threatens all three worlds: the material, the illusionary and the timeless.
Visions of constantly changing destinies and futures depicted in vibrant colors - this is what Pari sees.  Mystified and confused, Pari initially hides her visions from others. She dismisses them as hallucinations.
Guided by scrolls left to her by the spiritual master Chanakya, Pari needs to discover her powers and define her own destiny.  Will she be seduced by the lure of Arche's power of illusions?  Will she choose her own path?  What will Pari do?

Illusions
The world is a big place.  It is too complex to grasp; too unwieldy to control; too difficult to explain; and too dangerous to safeguard. So it is not unusual to shrink it and think of “our” world instead of “The” world.
At conception, our world is the womb.  At birth, it is our mother.  As infants, our home and family... and so it goes - this ever expanding world of ours that still remains “our” world within “The” world.
We are taught about the universe, the sciences, culture and religion.  We learn about it all, and yet we understand only what we can tie to our own world.  The rest, that we don’t understand, we accept on faith or we reject in skepticism.
In our world, we are in control.  The things we do or don’t do, directly impact the consequences we suffer and the rewards we enjoy.  Our choices are limited by our knowledge.  Our identities are defined by the world we inhabit as much as we define our world.  Our world is simple, controllable, explainable, and protected.
There comes a day, when we realize that our world is not as insular and protected as we thought it was.  It can be changed in a moment by natural phenomena, an unnatural attack, or even something simple as the acceptance of a contrary idea.  Our world, we realize, is reality skewed by the illusions we have harbored. These illusions are the lies we have told ourselves and each other.  These illusions are the lies we have believed.
These illusions that skew the reality of our world are termed as “Maya” in Hindu mythology.
In Awakening Colors, twenty-five year old Pari survives a car accident only to discover her reality is altered.  She now sees beyond the material world into the timeless one.  Guided by books left to her by Chanakya, Pari learns to accept her altered reality and sets out to discover the possibilities inherent in her new powers.  Arche waits in the shadows of this multi-dimensional reality to corrupt her understanding and lure her to the dark side.
As the sharp edges of Pari’s reality begin to unravel into colorful possibilities, she discovers the power that lies beyond the limitations of time.  In changing her own destiny, she changes the world around her.  As her life evolves, so do the lives around her.  Then she has to face up to the consequences of her own making.  With great power comes great responsibility – will Pari be able and willing to face up to this responsibility? Will she be able to resist the seductive lure of her own expanding power?
Walking between the light of Chanakya’s wisdom and the darkness of Arche’s corruption, Pari’s story of growth and discovery reflect both the reality and the illusions of our world.
