Thankfully I'm feeling better than I was. It just doesn't want to fully go away though. I feel for you all dealing with colds and flus right now.
I did get some reading accomplished. Yeah!!!!! Let's see, I read:
All three were really good. A prequel, some demon action and nothing like two souls living in one body to make you feel that maybe two is a crowd at times.
So many more books to read though. I'm in the middle of a dystopian book titled Swipe:
It's by Evan Angler and the first book in a series. When everyone turns 13 they have the option of being Marked. This allows them the freedom to shop, vote, etc without some other Marked being with them. The main character is about two months out from getting Marked and someone is watching him and really creeping him out. His new friend Erin is on the case trying to figure out if it's who she thinks it as and how to get the evidence. That's about all I'm saying at this point without giving away and spoilers.
What's up next? My good friend author KaSonndra Leigh has just released the second book in her Lost Immortals series. It's titled When Silver Moons Rise. I can't wait to dig into it!
Not only does she have a way with words, but her covers rock!
So what all have you been up to? Any books that you want to share? Anything happening in your lives that you would like to put out there? Me..same old thing. Work, take care of the family, read, and repeat. I have 4 beautiful children, a stepson about to turn 20, he's in the Air Force,a daughter who is 19, she works and goes to the local college, and twin girls who are 14, their job is to make my greying hair totally grey. My hubby helps get the younger two moving with homework and helps with dinner, thank goodness. I just got back in touch with an old friend. He moved to Australia in 1992 and I finally found him on Facebook. That's brought smiles. The last time I remember talking to him was while we were stationed in Okinawa, Japan and we were kidding around in the hanger area. I swear that man has not aged AND his a grandpa! Totally, as my daughter would say, Cra-Cra!
Oh...and I started up a Facebook page to supplement my blog. I hope that you take a few minutes and check it out, and while you're there "Like" it. Also, if you have any suggestions for my page or my blog, please leave a comment for me. I love to get feedback, good or bad. Without hearing from you, I might just keep on rambling. LOL! Anyway, here is the link to my Facebook page: Word to Dreams - Facebook Page
On a final note, here's a joke I'd like to share. It made me laugh:
I liked the Swipe synopsys. I think I'll read it soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading the Sable Hunter series about the McCoy brothers. I'm in the 4th book and I'm loving learning about the boys.
Hope you're feeling better, Marni!
